Question:
Answer:
only when the paper is sticky, stapled, glued, or folded. If the paper is clean and not stuck in anyway, no problems with jams. I have worn out two of these with over 100,000 pages scanned prior to wear out. Also, don't over fill the paper feed slot. Too many pages at a time and it will jam.

You will get what looks like an error message with the scanned image, but then just click Quit and you can save it. Hope this helps. see less

If you can exchange it for another one, do so. If not, open up the piece just to the front of the doc feeder and be sure it is clean. Shut it and try again. Mine worked great for some time and now if in not consistent. Have you tried contacting the factory or the vendor?

Answer:
Yes, there is an option to " scan to excel" and open in excel format. A document with mixed format will scan exactly as it appears on the original page with excel format copied as excel and any other text as text.
