The fruit lasts about a week (plus). My favorites are cantelope, watermelon (but that only good for about 5 days) and raspberries. If you use raspberries, only use frozen ones. Hope this helps. How very odd. I've not played with oranges. I used strawberries in the store yesterday. Made the pitcher as the store opened and people enjoyed it all day. I just kept adding cold water and ice throughout the day. They love it. I also have great success with cucumbers.
