Schwinn has an excellent customer service people that can help you, I have used them for a problem I had with our bike. You must have lots of patience when you call, so have a speaker phone and grab a cold beverage and listen to music while you are on hold.

Yes, it has a series of numbered holes about an inch apart (maybe a bit more) with a screw knob that tightens so there is no wobble. I'm 5'11" and my wife is 5'4" I simply readjust the seat to #12 after she uses it and she adjusts it to some smaller number when sh uses it, takes maybe 30 seconds.

I haven't actually bought the 240 yet, but my understanding is the fan and MP3/Speaker setup are basically worthless on the 250, seems those are the main selling points for the 250 over the 240. So what is the point of the 250? Just 2 more things that can go wrong.

If I were you I'd call Schwinn and ask them. I guess you didn't see my review where I gave them a one-star rating because the electronics in my bike just up and quit after about 40 hours of use. I threw my bike away.
