I haven't taken this apart, but it's been my experience in the past that 16 gage means each wire. Love this company. Quality products for low prices. This works great for me.

Yes you can fix any XLR this way but you do need a to solder the 3 wires back on. Amazon sells both female and male XLR connectors.

No, it's not. It's a standard XLR cable, as it is 16AWG, its heavy for its length and has been very durable.

I don't entirely understand this question. What would be the 'opposite way'? Do you have non-standard equipment? There are adapters available.

Only if they have an XLR input. Otherwise you would want TRS cables

There is nothing wrong with the Monoprice, they are very robust and decent quality.
I think the Mogami may have better components but not necessarily more durable.
