Nikon has tested the shutter for 150,000 cycles or shots, maybe a little more... depending on how well you treat your camera... cheers!

What do you mean? The number of shots you have depends on the size of the memory card you have in your camera. Even with a fairly small card you have space for several hundred pictures. It also depends on the save format you choose.
