The bigger the resolution the screen can produce and better pixels then that screen will be better. But for this screen it has a very nice display for me. Do a lot of photoshop, premier and after effects.

I don't have an answer to Q1. You would need to look at the specs regarding connecitons. I'm not sure what the Surface pro has available. Q2 is no. This does not have a tuner. Unless your cable box has a VGA or DMI output you could not use this to watch TV unless it is connected to a computer.

There are actually two choices: You can get the little adaptor and attach it to a regular DVI cable, or you can (probably) buy a cable with Mini-Displayport on one end and DVI on the other. see less
