My sheath, however, has two straps on the back that go perpendicular to the normal belt loop so it can be put on in that orientation if you like. To be honest, I haven't been terribly happy with the blade quality (it has bent in 3 places from non-stress activities) and I would recommend going with a Condor Bushcraft knife or a Morakniv. It is better value, especially the Condor. I still use my BGrylls knife but only as a junk knife. Hey Jeff, the blade is about 4 3/4 inches and full length of the knife (tip of blade to bottom of handle) is almost 10 inches.
