We had several days of near cloudless weather, so sunlight was not in short supply. After 3 straight days, it showed only 50% charge. I had to "top-off" the charge by plugging it in to an outlet. As for your original question, I do not have an Iphone but i do have a galaxy S3. This item does not fully recharge my S3, but provides enough "emergency" power to get you by until you can plug in your phone into a wall socket. If you are out in the wilderness, this item can charge your phone sufficiently for normal use, but I do not think it will give you a full charge even after a whole days exposure to sunlight. I would also guess that another important concern is the right connector for your phone. see less
