I don't think this camera comes with any software. You can plug with this camera with windows 8/7/xp to upload photo/video using usb cable. Or simply take off the memory card from the camera and insert it to your laptop/pc. Thanks.

The current fast SD cards are class 10 with faster write and read speeds. According to the manufacturer (Sony), this camera is compatible with class 10 cards. Of course you can also use the older cards too but will have higher speed with the class 10 cards which now do not cost too much more than the older and slower cards.
