In my "Operating Instructions" guide that came with the Sony ICD-PX312, the info on the various memory cards the recorder can support are on page 40. Personally, I only use 2 GB and mostly 4 GB micro cards, as they can hold up to about 22 hours or 45 hours of recordings, respectively. That's a LOT of conversation! I have been extremely pleased with this recorder and the high quality of the recordings. I've used many recorders, from a variety of manufacturers, previous to this one and none compare in functionality and quality. Just be sure to always have a couple spare AAA batteries on hand. Due to the long recording capabilities, you will need to replace the batteries somewhat regularly. see less

Radio Shack Carrie a microphone that can be plugged into the recorder and the attached to the handset for recording telephone conversations. Not sure if they are still available or not I have had one for several years and it worked on my cordless handset.
