Works perfectly. I don't turn up the conversion all the way on mine, I think its on about 16 and these work great. even though they flip up they are so comfortable I usually forget to flip them when I leave the TV, and they aren't so dark that is greatly noticeable.

As far as I understand it, Yes these glasses will work in a Theater showing 3D movies. Can;t hurt to bring them with you since they are small and weight next to nothing.
