Answer:
There should be an Audio plug, it is a seperate cable you need to purchase! If that doesn't work, try an adapter that has an audio/video splitter.

I don't put the two portable ones outside most of the time. As the previous reply said, I live at an elevation above 7000 ft. Because the snow will build up on the lens. I have those two inside most of the time. But I really like the fact that I can move those two around anywhere I want them. I was surprised by the fact when I put one of the portable ones in my garage one night, that I could see a little mouse scratching at the door trying to get into the house. LOL I didn't expect it to pick up because there was no light. The portable ones don't/aren't able to focus well when inside and pointed outside thru a window screen or window reflector film. I've left one window on the East and South clear so that I can move a camera there when there is noise I want to check out. Also, if you need to adjust then easily put them down lower and under a overhang. One friend mounted hers so high up on her house that it is a problem for her to have to adjust them. Mine can be easily reached from a 4 ft. ladder. These would make great baby monitors and/or if one is care giving an older adult. Also, work great for keeping an eye on puppies or small children outside. Our whole family (and friends)got some after I got mine. see less

No you can not do remote monitoring. I thought it had the capability also. You need to buy the iris from Lowes. It is a wireless system that is easy to install and had remote monitoring (see it from your phone). I just ordered my iris last week. But the uniden system is not bad for the money. I purchased the monitor and 2 cameras the first time I purchased. Then I added two portable cameras later, that I move around all over the house. I use them to watch my little dogs, my driveway and/or the birds in my yard (and listen to them sing). I am also able to watch the sky to see when a storm might be coming in. We all liked this so well, that I purchased the monitor with 2 cameras and one portable camera for my other Daughter as a Christmas present. A friend saw these and bought a setup for herself. Then a neighbor came over and saw my set up (two men had broken into their house that morning, with her pre-teen daughter home alone). She went home and ordered a set up for herself. The mounted cameras, have a better color outside, but I love being able to move the others any where I want them.
We live on acreage, outside of town. It is really nice to be able to see our gates (which are a distance away) from the kitchen counter. Hope this helps! see less

Answer:
The cameras themselves are wireless - however, each camera requires a power supply and power cable.
