x3 optical zoom with the included lens. x2 digital zoom for still and x4 digital zoom for motion. Optical zoom can be more, less or none depending upon the lens attached.
I use mine mostly with the 14mm. Sweet setup for general purpose.

If you look at the offering, it's offered with or without a lens by this seller. This camera is probably only available used at this point, since it's 2 generations back, it was replaced by the GX7 and the GX8 should be available soon. You can find easily find it used, like the one offered in the listing you have here.

In general, kits come with body, lens with cap, strap, battery, charger, USB cable(s), and basic software. What you will likely need to purchase in addition to kit is a memory card. Other extra accessories to consider depending on use are camera case and an extra battery.
In the case of GX1 with a 14-42mm kit lens, you might want to compare the prices for the "kit package" versus buying the body and lens separately. The 14-42mm is a descent lens but I also suggest doing some research on other Lumix lenses if you find a deal on the GX1 body-only to pair with higher end Lumix lenses. Personally I prefer using prime lenses (i.e. 14mm, 20mm, or 25mm) on my GX1. In addition, for the GX1, an additional nice but somewhat expensive accessory to consider is the Electric View Finder. see less

GX1 camera body doesn't have built in stabilization. You will need to go for GX7 to enjoy 3 axis stabilization in camera body.
