No. It has a demo version of Microsoft word s well s some others but the demo version is annoying. You can't close a partial window on the right and you can't personalize it or have full use of the program.

im not familiar with Ubuntu but im sure you can install just about anything on there as long as its compatible with the processor and windows , and u can use a usb stick on it too. I just know you cant change the backgrounds on it.

Yes, but It died very soon (7 months ) after I purchased. Very disappointing as my original Acer Aspire one lasted years and worked well. Now I using a chromebook and I love it. It works well for my purposes.

yes to flash. Doubt it will play using windows 8 because of low resolution. May play if using xp but that is just an opinion.
