If you're laptop needs DDR3 RAM, is PC3 compliant, and runs at any MHz clocking. It doesn't matter the manufacture (Apple aside) this memory will work.… see more

If you're laptop needs DDR3 RAM, is PC3 compliant, and runs at any MHz clocking. It doesn't matter the manufacture (Apple aside) this memory will work.
If you're really in doubt, the manufacture of your laptop's website will have full specs on your machine that you can always easily cross reference (and should anyways) just to be sure. see less

Yes, all 3rd generation i5 processors use DDR3 memory. Just make sure that the particular laptop supports 8gb DIMM's, some can only use 4gb ones. If the max ram supported is 16gb then you're fine.

No. You need Mac specific RAM. You can install it, and it will run, but will cause the system to become unstable and crash/freeze.

Not sure need to check the mother bored compatibility yes but most likely ur running a 32 bit os migrate to a 64 bit os or check on 64bit Linux live cd
