I think the Warrenty Companies may be worried that people will be "having lots of accidents' just to get free replacements when their Kindle gets a year or so old. Perhaps different Warrenty companies may vary the number of times you get a replacement. I spoke with Warrenty reps from both Trade Box(my daughter's Warrenty Co) and Square Trade (my own Warrenty Co), and they both said the "replacement" kindles that you receive from them are all "refurbished models", NOT brand new Kindles! I know Square Trade will only replace a damaged Kindle one time. I am not sure if my daughter's Trade Box Co. replaces a damaged Kindle 1 or 2 times. Remember, you also have the Amazon Kindle Co. Not 100% sure about this. Good idea to call both companies to ensure if you can buy this or not. You should research on which warranty will cover from each companies.
