The hole on the bottom is a one way air valve, it doesn't leak! So fill before and I leave it filled until next time.

Some water will start coming out as soon as you turn the bottle upside down because there is no valve at the nozzle.

It's the size of a water bottle without the spout on. It does come with a little bag, but wouldn't call it completely unnoticeable.
