The curved arm and two straight arms are compatible (standard GoPro mount spacing) and can be used in combination with each other or alone. I'm not sure why they are showing pictures of both models, because I had to buy the curved arm and straight arms separately. Also, if you intend to use all 3 poles together, I recommend buying stronger aluminum knurled mounting hardware and using bicycle carbon fiber grip gel where the sections attach. The weight of any camera will cause the joints to slip no matter how tight you tighten them. I had to wrap gaffer tape around the joints to handle the weight. And unless you have a tight fitting full-face downhill or motorcycle helmet, Hanging a camera that far off of a standard bike helmet causes the helmet to move no matter how tight you adjust the helmet. see less
