First, the only time you need to take tha case off is when you need to back up the phone by Lightning cable. Secondly, If you do your backups wirelessly you never have to take the case off. Thirdly, to charge the iPhone and case connect a micro usb cable to the case and the other end (regular usb 2) to at least a 10 watt wall plug. On the back of the case a red led will start flashing, then blue led will flash, then green led flash to steady green led (charging complete) When the charging starts, it will fill the iPhone battery first, then the case. From dead batteries it could take up to 4 hours. You can disconnect the cable any time during the charging cycle to use, and reconnect at a later time to continue. To only use your phone battery, push the button on the back till you see the indicator on the phone show battery in the phone only. If you want to use both batteries at the same time (passthrough charging) push and hold the button on the back of the case till you hear "chimes" and see the green battery logo on the phone. I fill (charge) both batteries, then turn off the case battery. When the iPhone gets down to about 20%... turn on the case battery (hold down the button on back of case) till till the phone reads 100%... about 15 minutes... then turn the case battery off till needed again. You can do this at least 3 cycles (for me 3 to 5 days). I carry a second charged case when I am on the road and "never" run out of juice. I hope this helps you and others ;-{) see less Ok, I have had two of these (red and black) for 1 year iPhone 5... and like them so much that I cant think of using another brand. Answer:
Yes you can. However, I charge each separate. Then recase them. Let the phone run down and then double click per instructions and charge. Once charged be sure to click Lenmar to stop charging. Gary

Answer:
I suspect it is just a matter of friction and leverage and perhaps something sticky having gotten inside. I would take it to a local independent iPhone repair shop and as for a favor getting the phone removed. My bet is they would help you for free.
