Refresh rate of this monitor is 60 so it's right at the bottom if you're going to game I used it for about a year on 1440p for gaming and the 60hrz just didn't quite do it for me.

For this price range you can find 144hrz refresh rate monitors cheaper especially in 1080p

If your motherboard says so then the monitor will work @60hz 4k. The monitor doesn't care who or what generates the signal, it cares only what type of signal it receives at its end of the DP cable. The monitor itself is about 15"h x 25"w, and sits about 2" off the desk at it's lowest setting, so total height is between 17 inches tall at the lowest point and 22" tall at it's highest. Great monitor, I love this thing :)
