Primarily...the phone has musical messages like "Hello", "ByeBye", "Hi, are you there?", and counts, sings the shapes and Alphabet. The only real song on mine is ItsyBitsySpider. It is very musical, just not recognizable nursery songs.

It is not very loud which we like since most baby toys are way too loud. My Niece loves it and has no problem hearing it. Their pediatrician has recommended low volume toys since babies are just developing.
