Answer:
I have never see luggage scratch so easily. I had been traveling for the past 10 years on planes, 3 times a week. I received this set of luggage as a retirement gift and am truly sorry I did not pick something else and purchase my own luggage. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Answer:
The case is 26 1/2 inches tall, including the rollers and flat top handle, not counting the retractable handle, 17 1/2 inches wide, and 11 inches thick, not counting the possible expandable 2 inches. I think I mentioned this case would not work as a carry on.

Answer:
Yes, I fly with this luggage almost religiously and have found the TSA "we have opened and inspected your bag" notes at least three times inside of the bag. They can open/relock the bag without having to know the combination. You're good to go.

Answer:
The 20 inch is not. I am returning it. The 24 inch is expandable and, IMHO, a great suitcase.

Answer:
There are no straps but I've found that you can sit the carry-on on its side on top of the 28" and put the 24" back to back with it so the handles are touching. I've been moving all three bags with one hand through airports that way with few issues for quite a while. I do have big hands though.
