I have a brand new induction cooktop as of November 15 2020, and the prior set that costs twice as much actually blew a circuit breaker one morning and it took me 3 weeks to get the top fixed and because it was under warranty, I had some excellent help from the manufacturers rep/repair who said these pans are not just "induction ready" they actually make the induction cook system work the best! These pans heat up all the way, not just the bottom like the very expensive set that are now unused. if you are looking for induction cooktop pans, this is the best on the market, but only 1/3 the cost. Highly recommend them, but do look closely at the descriptions because not all SS pans are the same. see less This set replaces another "set" of Induction Cookware that are not anywhere as good as the Duxtop set. Answer:
The largest "traditional skillet" has a top rim to rim of diameter of 10" and bottom of diameter of 7"; however there is a pan without graded edges (unlike the skillet) with about 4" tall edges and the measurements of the base and top diameter that are are 10.75". I hope that helps.

Answer:
This set is not whole-clad Tri-ply construction as in the other Duxtop 10-pc set and 9-pc set. However, the encapsulated Aluminum core at the bottom is much thicker (more than 3 times thicker)than in the Duxtop 10-pc set and 9-pc set. Hope this helps.

The manufacturer says you do not need oil. I really do not believe this. I always use oil or butter. Two -fold reason. Things do not stick, plus butter really enhances flavor. I do not use margarine. Anyway, overall the pots and pans have been good and were somewhat expensive, but not ridiculously expensive. Try this, imagine cooking shrimp without using butter and garlic. Which one would you prefer eating? Yum! see less The manufacturer says you do not need oil. I really do not believe this. I always use oil or butter. Two -fold reason.
