I have used it on my quad copter and at 20 feet it may as well have been a hundred for the amount of detail. This is my only experience with this type of camera, but I hope this helps.

Remote isn't great. You have to really make sure the camera is in the line of sight. If you're asking about the battery for the remote, I don't know. If your asking about the camera, I'd say it's okay. I was able to shoot for not quite 2 hours and the battery was just about dead.
