It has a large enough screen to feel like you are writing on paper. I use the OneNote app to take notes and it has really simplified my note taking experience. When you write your notes, they are instantly saved to the cloud and can be accessed from any phone, laptop, tablet, and desktop, etc. My favorite thing about it is now I don't have to carry 5 notebooks nor do I have to carry like 4-6 colored pens. My backpack is lighter and my notes are very organized. The most significant con in my opinion is getting used to writing digitally. This is only a con because when you first write with the surface pro 3 and its pen, it may feel weird compared to a regular paper and pen. BUT, you will get used to it and feels completely fine after more usage. My best advice, find a Bestbuy or Microsoft Store near you and try it out for yourself. Hope this helped! see less

Answer:
You can make Google your default search method. You can also make Chrome your default launcher instead of IE, which is what I've done. You could do the same with Firefox or something else you prefer. I'm still a newbie with this device, but I know this much for sure.

No, that would not work. The old surface pen uses Wacom technology. The new surface pen uses N-trig technology, therefore, the pens are not compatible. This may seem like a huge drop but unless you are doing some serious artwork, it shouldn't be to noticeable. I use it for note taking and its great! Personally, I prefer the SP3 pen experience better than that of the SP2. Hope this helped! see less
