I have the new 2015 MacBook (in Gold) and it will drive the Dell U2715H out of the box at full resolution (2560x1440 @60Hz) using the Apple USB-C connector with HDMI port and a quality HDMI cable. Makes for a really nice setup...

I have the 2415 and it is straight up the best monitor I have ever used. I do design (html/css), no gaming, and Internet Marketing so stare at it ALL DAY. I also have the "2815Q" (the 28" 4K from Dell, not the 24). Let me tell you, there is NO WAY you will use it at 4K for regular work stuff. You can't freakin barel…

You can't freakin barely read the text at 3840x2400. I like it down sized to 2440 width and then it's "similar" to 1920 on the 24. I'm 38, don't wear glasses or need them and would bet that a standard word doc at 4k and standard size text you could not read at 4k. So my vote is the 2415 (freakin beautiful) or the 2815 (about the same as the 2415q) and do a bit smaller resolution to fit more stuff on the screen. The name of the game for me is "how do I get more "usable" space on the screen without it being microscopic. I also use a triple monitor setup (2 2415 and 2815 in middle... love it).

I fould this to be terribly disappointing. Looking now for compensation for mis-respresenting known issue.

It's a matte type finish. But, it's really not a sandy matte finish. I like glossy screens but this is, IMHO, just as good. It's really nice, no reflections and no loss of clarity.

Dell U2715H monitor does support 2560x1440 resolution via HDMI. I have used it myself. You do need to have a compatible graphics output capable of that HDMI resolution. Intel HD Graphics 4600 is integrated on-chip graphics, and its max resolution output depends on the chipset and PC configuration by the computer manufacturer. You should check your computer specification for the max resolution output via HDMI. As for this U2715H monitor, it supports 2560x1440 resolution via HDMI @ up to 60Hz.

The U2713 has WQHD resolution (2560 x 1440) while the UZ2715 has HD resolution (1920 x 1080). So the U2713 has a dramatically sharper and more detailed display. And while the UZ2715 has a wide 1" bezel, the bezel on the U2713 is very thin at about 1/4". I also have a different model of 27" Dell that I use at work with the same resolution as the UZ2715. That one has a fine display, but is no match for the U2713. IMO, the U2713 is well worth the higher price.
