no it is 2016, but if you buy it, you will receive free updates, when you use the Norton system, you can use your daily update every time you log on.

I've never had any problem with my Kindle reader app on my computer, so I can only assume that Norton is also protecting program also. I don't think it would work on an I-pad or smart phone, but since I don't have either you'd have to contact Norton.
