They do not magnify the words. I bought these for a friend who is bed ridden. She wears glasses and the "lazy glasses" fit over the top of her eye wear. So I think it depends on your glasses. If they are large then these may not be a good product for you. If they are smaller frames then I think these will fit perfectly… see more They do not magnify the words. I don't believe so. They are basically regular glasses with a mirror attached

I believe so. Just know they work for me. I have not brought out a compass to measure.

why not? However, this particular style is heavy and I do not think it would be too comfortable. There are other models out there that may be better for your pts needs.
