Yes... I just recently used it for a trip to Spain. I had a small laptop, ipad and a change of clothing. Compact shoes will fit fine (toms, flip flops, slip-ons), sneakers won't fit. To bulky for the backpack.

The picture is of a large backpack which is 12” x 18.5” x 6.5”. It should be 1445 cubic inches or 23.6 liters.

No, it doesn’t have a separate strap for that purpose. However you could easily add one if you desire.
