I got this for my dog. It doesn't cast. The pulley system is quite good though. But you can't flick your wrist and cast as such.

It come with a zippered case and I believe you could collapse it but the case holds the fish and both rods. Perhaps if you collapsed the rods you could then fold the case. It’s possible

I used the fishing poles for a halloween game to pick up floating ducks which I had inserted eye hooks they held that weight without any problems
