No, this is different than the Vizio tv. There is neither a camera nor a microphone built into this tv. The remote has a mic but is only turned on when you hold the button down. Now, is your traffic and viewing habits being monitored? Well, that's a different case and harder to know.

No. Element is an independent brand that Amazon is working with. They manufacture in the US and China though the documentation indicates this tv will be built in China
