No, on mine the lid fit is perfect and the unit contains an “inner” lid that keeps most air out and keeps the spices fresher longer. Very happy with my unit especially considering others that cost much more.
They can be moves around but one you have them in the order you prefer they sty in place. Lid is firmly in place so it will not come off until you require it to.
No. You can order your own selection. I need 2 or more of these things but think I will spend the extra to get one's with individual covers for the seeds.
I would hand wash it myself. That way I know they are going to stay beautiful. But it is stainless steel and could be washed in the dishwasher. Maybe taken out and dried right away.
