As a featured drive it can be cloned to another drive internally or externally. The Wavlink looks just like a USB drive to the system. The Wavlink accepts only drives that have a sata connector. I suppose if some manufacturer made an adapter M2 to sata card, then that card maybe plugged into the cloner. Amazon sells a series of adapter cards that should work well, see: https://www.amazon.com/RIITOP-Converter-Adapter-Enclosure-Thickness/dp/B01KDC16WU/ref=sr_1_14?hvadid=78408978923796&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvqmt=e&keywords=m2+sata+converter&qid=1577200153&sr=8-14 see less M2 SSD drives are suited for insertion into a motherboard special adapter giving you capacity as a featured drive in your machine. Answer:
SATA cloners exist but I do not think IDE(ATA) ones are around any more.

One avenue maybe to to buy an IDE-USB adapter (about $25), plug your replacement IDE(ATA) hard drive in it and clone your PC's hard drive to it via the USB port. Then replace one with the other.

Answer:
