Don't pay extra. The E25 is all you need. Somewhere there is a review of this model and it does as well as the models and brands that cost hundreds more. Here is one review/comparison. I love my Roborock E25! LOVE! I had a cheap random vacuum, there is no comparison. The spinning bristles goes faster when near a cabinet so it throws the debris out in order to get to it. It then slows down the spinning sweeper thingy when it's in open space in order to not sling the dirt around. Buy it already! I research the heck out of all purchases, it's worth the investment. see less Don't pay extra. The E25 is all you need. Answer:
covering the four sensors under the front of the machine takes care of the problem. However, know that by doing so, the vacuum can fall off ledges because it can't detect them. It also has to be white paper or plastic covering the sensors. Anything darker will automatically set off the sensors and cause errors.

Answer:
Unfortunately, when trying to figure out whether the robot could clean select rooms or not, I found out that it cannot. The map is mainly a nice to see only. It also helps you locate your robot if an error occurs and you don't know where it's stuck.

We are sorry to tell you that the device cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuum.

There is no switch on hardware of robot nor software of app to turn on/off the mopping feature.

When water tank with enough water filled and mopping cloth are installed, the mopping begins working while it is moving. If water is out or water tank is removed, mopping stops working.
Besides, there is no way to turn off suction or mopping to let just one of them work and another one stops.

The robot could not recognize the carpet and leave it away with water tank installed. I'm afraid you need uninstall the them before it cleans the carpet.
We have to admit the mopping feature is not smart enough at present like suction. But we will keep working on it to make it work more intelligently. see less

First install the "Mi Home" app hon your phone and setup your account. Next go to "skills&games" in the alexa app and add "Roborock Home". After linking your accounts you should be able to discover the vacuum.
I believe you can only start and stop the device through Alexa. see less
