Nintendo Is simply porting their games to switch. Heck, to some people, this is a better port than skyrim getting ported to every system. They aren't "lazy". They just released Super Mario Odyssey, Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of the Wild, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. I think they are just tired right now considering they already did some of their IPs already. In short, yes. Even if you had a Wii U I think it's a good purchase. For Wii U owners you had to purchase this separate for awhile, until they bundled it. Switch owners get everything right out the gate. Combined with the 2 joy cons means you can always play 2 player anywhere you go. This is a great purchase for switch owners.

Just the Wii U game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii was a completely different game from New Super Mario Bros. U. This is a port of the Wii U game New Super Mario Bros. U and its Luigi add-on content, plus a few minor changes.
