Desktops typically use 3.5" hard drives, so there is probably a bracket you can buy for a 2.5" hard drive to fit in your desktop, or just possibly cable tie it neatly , it wont be visible.

Yes it is compatible with Win 10. I did not encounter any problems in connecting.. It is a plug and play device. i put it in a case purchased at the same time to use as an external device.

use free software mini tool partitioner to partition the drive as a "physical drive" not a "logical"
or insert ssd in a laptop and format it using either windows 7 or windows 10 software cd as if you are going to load a system.
once formatted it can be used. … see more

***The easiest thing it the minitool partition software and the external harddrive enclosure and format both ssd.
Make it a NTFS physical --- not LOGICAL. see less
