Dear Customer,

Please follow the steps for Micro SD card installation into Nintendo Switch.
1. Power off the Nintendo Switch console, then gently swing the stand open to show the microSD card slot.
2. Ensure the microSD card is properly positioned in the right direction.
3. Insert the microSD card into the slot and gently push down until it clicks into place.

You don't need to put Micro SD card in the adapter but you put Micro SD card directly into Switch console.

Thanks!

Answer:
Mine was a scam, as I only received the carrier for the Micro SD and not the actual 512 GB card (the package was sealed and it seems that arrived without the card from the vendor).

Answer:
You want a micro SDXC (which is a large capacity micro SD card). Brand does not matter. So yes the Gigastone 512 micro SDXC would work.
