Cans on the top two shelves can stand up, bottom shelves cans have to be laid down. You could probably take out a shelf or two to allow for cans to stand.
Most simply, the blue lights can be turned on and off on the control panel for each side. We leave them off. They are LEDs and there is an access panel, but I don't know if they can be readily changed out, or if you would need the electrical skills to desolder and resolder them with a different color. Most simply, the blue lights can be turned on and off on the control panel for each side. We leave them off. They are LEDs and there is an access panel, but I don't know if they can be readily changed out, or if you would need the electrical skills to desolder and resolder them with a different color. They look like LEDs in a normal domed case, rather than surface mount, at least, but I didn't do enough disassembly to be sure.
