I am not sure about the comparison to the other unit. This cooling fan does a great job with cooling. Even when gaming there is no cooling fan out there that will cool the keyboard completely. Do note you will lose that extra USB that the one the KLIM offers you so you can plug it into another device you want to use on your laptop. The extra plug is NOT neede…

The Ultimate cooling pad boasts a slightly lower CFM than the Wind , meaning that an Ultimate pad will move a bit less air in the same time period as a Wind would.

The Ultimate cooling pad boasts a slightly lower CFM than the Wind , meaning that an Ultimate pad will move a bit less air in the same time period as a Wind would.
However, a powerful fan is not a must, it more importantly needs to be placed properly, near the exhaust vents of your cooling pad, for maximum help to prevent throttling with a steady air flow.
Also, about the RBG lights, you can turn them off on the ultimate, which is not possible with the Wind.
In any case, if the product does not live up to your expectations, you can return it and get your money back so you actually cannot go wrong !
