The bottles come with screw on tops and caps that snap onto the bottle. The caps are all the same size with holes and a small flap that allows for pouring. The holes are uniformly the same size and not meant for very fine pouring (i.e. poppy seeds, ) I don't shake very fine spices but rather spoon them.
