A1 / A2 grades refer to the type of beta-casein protein found in milk. Because our filtration removes virtually all protein (we are certified lactose and casein-free), the A1/2 question doesn't really apply. A1 / A2 grades refer to the type of beta-casein protein found in milk. Because our filtration removes virtually all protein (we are certified lactose and casein-free), the A1/2 question doesn't really apply. Our cows are 100% pastured and grass fed (not grain finished like some "grass fed" brands), and raised on pesticide- and herbicide-free pastures, and are of course raised without the use of hormones or antibiotics. see less

Hi there, we decided to transition all of our 16oz and 32oz ghee offerings to plastic containers on Amazon to avoid glass jars breaking in transit. Rest assured, the ghee itself is completely unaltered. Additionally, this transition reduces our overall environmental waste as these containers no longer require bubble wr… see more Hi there, we decided to transition all of our 16oz and 32oz ghee offerings to plastic containers on Amazon to avoid glass jars breaking in transit. Rest assured, the ghee itself is completely unaltered. Additionally, this transition reduces our overall environmental waste as these containers no longer require bubble wrap, tape, or an additional cardboard box. In turn, we can fit more units on the trucks, and reduce the fuel needed, to ship these to warehouse distribution locations and, of course, to you! Our jar selected is BPA free, and food-safe. We still have the 9oz Ghee in glass jar format.

Trans Fats occurs naturally in animal products in very small amounts. Since ghee is from cow's milk/cream, it naturally contains a small amount of trans fat.

Perhaps it is because some of the other ghee products are blended with other oils or flavors. I use the pure one and find it is delicious with a clean taste.

The company is based in Los Angeles and I believe this product is manufactured there. I would query the company direct if in doubt.
