Own three suede pair, and in my experience, I have gone down a 1/2 size each time, and by doing so the fit was perfect. I would suggest you purchase a size 8 based on you mentioning that you normally wear a size 8 and a 1/2.
Can't answer your question about restocking. I don't work for the company. But I strongly recommend the olive. Very nice color. I would definitely choose the smaller size. They do run large. I'm also a 10. I ordered the 9.5 and it fits perfectly. Very comfortable.
The one I purchased was US size. It should be pretty easy to determine. US sizes are typically from size 7 to size 14 or so. UK sizes are in the 30's and 40's.
I normally wear an 8. I had to get a whole size smaller and it’s still a tad big. But the smallest size was a 7. The width is fine. Just the length runs big.
