Works but is too dim to be a serious projector
I purchased this to watch Netflix and Youtube videos in a dark room at around 80 inches diagonal image size. The Amazon product title says "Mini Projector with Android TV 11.0, Support 1080P Smart Portable Projector with 5G WiFi and Bluetooth, 10000 Lumen,Auto Keystone Correction, Premium 360 Sound, 40"-130" Screen Video Projector". Of course it would be ridiculous to imagine this projector to be anywhere near 10,000 actual ANSI lumens, I was hoping for perhaps 200 lumens or so. Sure enough the box states 120 ANSI lumens (I was pleasantly surprised that an actual ANSI lumen value was even printed on the box). Unfortunately, the projector is just too dim to enjoy Netflix and YouTube videos in a dark room at an 80 inch diagonal image size. Darker scenes lose detail and even the white parts of the scene look greyish. I then purchased an Anker Nebula Solar Portable (rated 400 ANSI lumens) to see if the additional brightness would make the difference. The Anker is bright enough to where I no longer think about the image brightness and can just enjoy the videos. I decided to take some measurements. I brought out my older Epson Home Cinema 710HD (rated 2800 ANSI lumens) to compare with the Aubor and the Anker. I compared all 3 of these projectors using a pure white JPEG file projected at the same image size. The distance from projector to wall varied (Epson 74 inches, Aubor 60 inches, Anker 57 inches). I measure light intensity using a Triplett LT80 light meter measuring 7 points around the image. Of course my intention was not to measure true absolute values but to compare the brightness of the 3 projectors. My results (Average Lux readings); Epson = 1862; Anker = 247; Aubor = 85. If I take the 1862 of the Epson to represent a 2800 lumen projector, then the Anker would calculate around 371 and the Aubor would be 128. I was actually impressed that the values were fairly proportional to the stated ratings (Anker a bit below, Aubor a bit above). The difference in brightness between the Aubor and the Anker made the difference for me. With the Anker, I forget about the brightness and just enjoy the videos, while with the Aubor I couldn't. I love the fact that with Amazon, I could purchase two projectors and easily return the one that just didn't work out! I tried one other sample which was essentially the same brightness but if used in a shorter throw environment against a decent screen works more acceptably. One aspect I didn’t address in the first part of the review was that this projector has Netflix built in where the more expensive Anker Nebula Solar portable needs to run Netflix through a “Nebula Connect” which worked only some times for me. I’ve adjusted my rating to 4/5 stars because I guess this projector can be acceptable especially for the price when used to project a small image.

    This projector is so great!
The number one feature is the portability. It's so compact and easy to set up ,and The picture quality is terrific! Obviously, as with all projectors, the best picture and color quality is achieved in the darkest conditions, but even in a semi-dark room during the day, the picture is still quite ok.
Set-up is super quick and easy. My preferred method for watching stuff is connecting my phone via screen mirroring and casting it through there. I did try android tv as well,It worked pretty good too.
The auto-keystone feature works really well, and that's a great feature to have in a portable projector that you're using in different places all the time.
Overall, this is a great little projector, and I can see ourselves using it a lot in the future, especially for outdoor movies. I would definitely recommend it for someone looking for a portable, quick to set up projector. Just be prepared to connect a speaker the old-fashioned way if you want it to reliably work. Also photo here is how bright the colors are in the middle of the day! So good!! I definitely recommend it!

I've had this projector (Baubor: HY300) for months now, and at first it was great. Not super awesome or anything because of the few problems or faults it has.
First off, it's brightness and picture is great. In high light, you can still see it. Even better in the dark! The sound is eh, but use the Bluetooth to a speaker and it's sound is beautiful! (Depends on the kind of speaker you use.) Using headphones also is a great way to use it, and it sounds great. It's super easy to set up, and even though the focus is manual, it's sharpness is perfect. Mirror Cast works great! No worries there, and easy to find. There's a great selection on the Google Play app and the already installed apps.
But here is where we come to problems. Be aware, this device doesn't support Disney+. Never did. You can't even use the Mirror Cast (or SmartView as it's now called by some) to it. Hulu has this problem also. It will not play. It loads up the home menu, but as soon as you try to watch a show or movie, it blacks out. It says it's an error and it's trying to fix itself but...*sigh*...since I've had it, it hasn't been fixed. The worst part is, that it also doesn't play through Smart View! It shows the menu but blackouts for play. And this app is supposed be be accepted by this device! And to my horror and great frustration, on July 15th 2024, Netflix was also no longer accepted on this device! How is that even possible! Netflix is my number one streaming app! I tried to find an upgrade for the device but none were forthcoming, and when I did find one, the device couldn't upload at all! It stopped at 15% and didn't go any further, saying it couldn't find the files. What files?! I didn't know it needed files! And Netflix also won't work through Smart View! You can't Cast it!
Needless to say, this has greatly upset me. I'm not a very tech savvy person, so of course I'm limited in my knowledge of such things. Even though the other major apps are available (Prime, YouTube, DirectTV, Tubi, Pluto TV, Pandora ; All my most watched apps) this has greatly discouraged me. Mind you, this has happened to THIS model. Perhaps the newer ones accept everything.
In either case, if you get this model, be aware, these are the pros and cons.
The sad thing is, as i said, it started off great, but somehow it proceeded to go downhill. It wasn't easy or enjoyable anymore to use. It's probably better if you use the other features, like the files, HDMI or sticks, but for those of us who got a Smart Projector so we didn't have to go through that extra or don't KNOW how to do or acquire all that...well...better keep looking.
