John Wilcock, one of the few journalists Warhol would open up to at all, knew all the players in and around the Warhol circle, largely from his vital role in opening Interview magazine with Andy. This richly illustrated volume captures the flavor of the New York art and alternative culture scene of the '60s and '70s as well anybody could imagine. The drugs, the parties, the personalities are all there, and like it or not, they were hugely influential in everything that happened afterwards.
This is a fun book of interviews with the people who hung out/worked with Andy by John Wilcock who had access to them and hung out/worked with them too. Andy's sex life is still rather ambiguous, but John asks some good questions. If your into the Worhol scene you will enjoy the book.
