"We wanted to help people feel empowered about learning Spanish and to not be afraid to make mistakes. This is also why we named it 'Yo Sabo.' ‘Yo se’ is the correct way to say it, but we wanted that playful twist. Each card sparks stories about family traditions and personal memories. With word guessing, trivia, and mini challenges, it allows people that are barely learning Spanish and seasoned learners to have fun together.

We believe that education is extremely important, so we are constantly looking for ways to contribute to classrooms. We regularly donate our game to teachers across the United States that reach out to us. We also participate in many community events that have been held in schools, afterschool programs, universities, and more! This allows us to connect directly with our community on a one-on-one level.

Yo Sabo is not only a great game to learn and test your Spanish, but it is also an amazing way to connect back to Latino roots. Even those who are not Latino can join in on the fun because they have their own experience to share. We are all in this together, unidos."

Rizos Curls turns frustration into a feel-good hair care movement
Julissa Prado, Founder & CEO
Los Angeles, CA
"Growing up, I struggled to find products that worked for my natural hair—I tried everything to tame my curls, from slicked-back ponytails and crunchy, damaging gels to literally straightening my curls with a clothing iron. After years of frustration, I dreamed of creating something better—products that actually worked and made people like me feel confident and proud of their natural texture.

With the help of my family, I started the Rizos Curls journey out of my garage and began mixing my own formulas in my kitchen. It took years to get the formulas just right, but eventually, I was able to turn that passion-led dream into a multi-million-dollar business that remains self-funded to this day, never wavering from our mission rooted in culture, community, and inclusivity.

What makes us truly unique is how deeply we listen to our community—they’re the heart of everything we do. From DMs to in-person events, we take their feedback seriously every step of the way, and the first phase of our R&D process for new products starts with their direct requests. We strive to give them the absolute best products with innovative formulas designed to support healthy hair from root to tip.“
