How do products qualify for each badge?
The Small Business badge recognizes products from sellers who meet the following requirements:
- Meet Gartner's U.S. definition of small business:
- The brand employs fewer than 100 people
- Generates less than $50 million USD in
annual revenue on and off Amazon - Are registered with Brand Registry or
participate in the Handmade program - Are headquartered domestic to the U.S.
The Black-Owned Business badge highlights eligible current featured offers on Detail pages. Sellers must hold a valid and active minority-owned business registration or certification from one of the following third-party organizations:
- The National Minority Supplier Development
Council - U.S. System for Award Management
- U.S. Small Business Administration
- SupplierGATEWAY
There are no fees for eligible sellers to feature these badges. Sellers may choose to ‘opt out’ of receiving the badge on their products. In these cases, the badge will not be displayed.
