!! Warning !! Spoilers !! 3 movies' worth !!
In "The Forbidden Kingdom" (2008), the newly-freed-and-revivified Monkey King's first words are, "My turn" -- and he then proceeds to lay waste to the Jade Warrior and his minions.
Same exact setup & delivery happened in "Iron Man" (also 2008). Stark says it when he exits the cave in his first-draft Iron Man suit, immediately before decimating the Ten Rings terrorists and setting off their ammo dump.
And again, exactly the same thing happens in the final battle scene in "Serenity" (2005). This time it's River Tam's line, just before she wails on the Reavers.
So -- questions:
How many other flix have you found that line, or something similar to it?
Anyone know when it was first used?
And -- if there are any lawyers or Hollywood insiders here -- if it's not being done as a conscious homage to an earlier work (as in Golden Sparrow's use of the line "Come drink with me" in the same scene, a nod to the classic movie of that name from the 60's), isn't this plagiarism?
Thanks in advance for any answers...
