This is a fine book to look for detailed information on a known bird. There are no pictures to idendify a bird you might be interested in finding a name for.

This is a comprehensive text about the distribution of Orange County birds; it is NOT a field guide and should not be treated as such. This is a great book to learn about OC birding spots and the area is general. This is not your normal "directions to" bird finding book it is soo much better. Detailed and scientifically accurate information is given in a manner that both the casual birder and ornithologist can appreciate.
