With LCD constantly on, it took about 6.5 hours to drop from 15v to 10v. Total about 36 hours to drop to 2.6v, which is when the LCD would turn off. Then I put a small load and let it discharge to 0.5v. I got those numbers after four full discharge cycles.

Then tested again with LCD unplugged. It took 62 hours to drop from 15v to 10v. About 150 hours to drop to just below 9v. Never finished a full discharge with this condition.

For the tests, I used an adjustable power supply to charge. Set voltage to 15 and it will charge at 5A until reaches the preset 15v. BTW, the caps are not dented, they are made this way. My only gripe is why such a BEEFY shell? Feels like 2/3 of the total weight is from the aluminum casing.

I'm very satisfied with the capacitors and decided to modify it so it will be more secure and practical to use inside a car. Replaced the 8 gauge wires with 4 gauge. Took out the board and fuses and wired directly to thru-panel battery posts. Also added a momentary switch so the LCD only turns on when needed.

Product appears to work as described however, with as much power as this unit can provide it only has wire terminals for 4 gauge wire or smaller. Something like this should at least have double 0 gauge connections so this unit is more suited for power storage than as a ultra capacitor because you can't access all the power at once. The second thing is that the fuses seem really small for something that powerful. The third thing is that the LED display never turns off and will drain the unit and anything else connected to it in time. Took about one day for the unit to fully drain itself from a full charge. As far as the housing design goes and his ability to store energy, it seems to work very well. Just remember, because of the small fuses and small gauge wire that needs to be hooked up to it you can't access all the power at once but this unit is great for long term power storage if you can find a way to disable the LED screen.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! I don't have any means of testing the capacitance but its does exactly what I wanted it to do.Had a 3 year old Bosch S4 Megapower Ca-Ca beginning to die so I bought this Ultracapacitor with the intention of pairing it with a small motorcycle Lithium Ion battery for some weight reduction in my 2001 Mitsubishi Evolution 7. A YEAR later with the capacitor, it still starts the car but drains the capacitor if left for more than 2 days. Even so, jump starting car with a charged cap (charges almost instantly on another car) is easy. Anyway, for kicks and giggles I took a used 12V battery (13V when charged) from a defective (Eaton?) UPS and paired it with cap....The car start with easy and the combo is plenty lighter than a regular car battery. Let's see how long this lasts.
