First, the size. I read all the reviews, and knew that they ran small; I'm a 9.5 wide and so I ordered an 11 (largest available). The problem comes from the basic croc shape. With classic crocs, you can slide your foot in horizontally, but with boots, you need to point your foot and wedge it forward while you place your heel. The croc upper doesn't allow any stretch for that maneuver. Once my foot is properly in the shoe, they fit ok--but man they are hard to get on and off. The soft lining tends to roll under the seam as your slide you foot in, making the opening even tighter, and if you manage to get your foot in while this is happening, and take a few steps, it's going to be painful.
Now, once you have them on properly, you go out in the snow. Only a few inches? Great, these are warm and have good traction, you won't have a problem. Is the snow deep enough to cover your foot? You might find after a few minutes that the softer area near the heel is not actually water proof. Actually, it won't even take a few minutes, the second I had snow touching any of the non-rubbery parts of these boots, my feet were instantly cold and wet. Another reviewer commented on this, but she used the word "leak", so I assumed there had been a hole or similar defect. I examined my boots closely, there is no hole, no tear, no gap in the seaming. The cloth just soaked up the moisture and transfered it directly to my socks.
My last complaint is a small one, and in light of the other two I hesitate to even mention it. The top part of the boot only goes about 6 inches up my leg, maybe a third of the way to my knee.Read more ›

I bought these on Amazon several years ago so this is the voice of experience speaking. After about 5 years they still look as good as new after years of heavy wear. Read morePublished 9 months ago by Cindi
Small and tight. I thought they would be good for a wider foot but they didn't work for me.Published 13 months ago by Tori
Not the best looking shoes but it helps me survive the heavy snow and keeps my socks dry! Slip a bit sometimes but again... it's real heavy snow.Published 15 months ago by Amy
